Petrochemical inventories hit a historic low before New Year's Day, but post-holiday, with reduced maintenance by petrochemical companies and a slight increase in supply pressure coupled with weak demand, the pressure on petrochemical inventories surged. Recently, there was a temporary acceleration in destocking in the petrochemical industry, but as maintenance efforts decreased, the destocking speed slowed down once again.
